Lu Mare's main entrance is located next to Basin Café, overlooking Osborne Park and Wollongong Harbour. Look for the Lu Mare entrance beside the café, facing the harbour.

Street parking is available throughout the area surrounding Lu Mare, including Cliff Road, Wilson Street, Campbell Street and Corrimal Street. All surrounding parking is council parking, so we recommend allowing a little extra time to find a space, particularly during busy periods.
Lu Mare does not have any allocated or dedicated guest parking, and restaurant guests are not permitted to park in the Boat Harbour Motel car park at any time.

Yes, Lu Mare is wheelchair accessible for standard-sized wheelchairs. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please let us know when making your booking so we can arrange the most suitable table for you. Please note that our bathroom facilities are not wheelchair accessible.

Lu Mare is a fully licensed venue and does not permit BYO alcohol. Our all-Italian wine list is always evolving, with lesser-known producers, special bottles and something for every taste. Please email us if you’d like to view our current list before your visit.

While we love our four-legged friends, dogs are not permitted within the Boat Harbour Motel grounds, including Lu Mare. Assistance animals are, of course, always welcome. Thank you for understanding.

Bookings for 2–3 guests are allocated 1 hour and 45 minutes, while bookings for 4–10 guests are allocated 2 hours. Larger groups and functions may have a different dining duration, confirmed at the time of booking.

Yes. A $25 per person credit card pre-authorisation is required to secure your reservation. Your card will not be charged unless you cancel within 24 hours of your booking or do not attend.

We kindly ask that any cancellations or changes are made at least 24 hours before your reservation. Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours may incur a $25 per person fee, charged to the card used to secure your booking.

Please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies when booking, and we’ll accommodate you wherever possible. While our team takes great care, our kitchen handles gluten, nuts, dairy and other allergens, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
All meat served at Lu Mare is halal certified, with the exception of pork. Please note that our kitchen and preparation methods are not halal certified.

Yes. A 10% weekend surcharge applies to all food and beverage purchases on Saturdays and Sundays, and a 15% surcharge applies on public holidays.

Yes, you're welcome to bring a cake for a celebration. Cakeage is $3 per person.

If you’d like to arrive a little earlier, you’re welcome to enjoy our open-air courtyard, or we may be able to seat you at your table early if it’s available. We also have a small bar area for up to four guests, subject to availability.
Please note that your table is only guaranteed from your booked reservation time, and our courtyard is weather-dependent and does not have heating.

Yes. We have a beautiful open-air courtyard for up to 30 guests, which our team opens for online bookings when the sun is shining and the area can be staffed.
As the courtyard is completely outdoors, bookings are weather dependent. If the weather changes, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to accommodate your booking inside.
